It will utilize the design discharge of 849.78 m3/s and a rated head of 14.1 created by the barrage structure. It is expected to provide 498 million units of energy annually.

SNC-Lavalin Engineering India Pvt Ltd previously prepared the feasibility study and detailed project report. The SMEC team will work with CE Construction as design consultant to EPC Contractor. Construction is expected to take approximately four years.
