SMEC in Singapore
SMEC has operated in Singapore since 1998. SMEC’s first project in Singapore was provision of software training (newly released Maximo 4.0 Computerised Maintenance Management System) to Chevron Chemicals staff. SMEC also provided Chevron a program implementation framework.
Since then, SMEC has been involved in a number of Transport sector projects including the Kallang Expressway and the downtown railway line and provided design and commissioning services for a Thermal Dynamic Recovery Pyrolysis facility at Tuas.
SMEC has recently provided tender design services for the Singapore Downtown Line. The project consists of twin bored 2.3km tunnels between stations at Hillview and Beauty World. A launch shaft and cut and cover tunnels were also constructed in the vicinity of Hume Avenue.
