SMEC donated $13,000 to the South Africa Medical and Education (SAME) Foundation to assist in the refurbishment of the Tirisano-Mmogo Primary School.

The SAME Foundation is a public benefit organisation dedicated to providing quality healthcare and education to disadvantaged communities throughout South Africa. Located in Cosmo City, a mixed-income development north of Johannesburg, the Tirisano-Mmogo Primary School was in desperate need of renovation. SMEC’s grant assisted in the development of a science laboratory, library, computer centre, block of classrooms and student bathrooms, as well as the installation of a 24-hour school security system.
