Namibia Main Road 118
SMEC delivered a 99 km bitumen road to a high geometric standard, and with an excellent riding quality, within a tight timeframe and isolated project location. This road has created opportunities for locals and visitors alike to experience southern Namibia's beautiful landscape.

Melton Highway
SMEC partnered with BMD Constructions to remove the Melton Highway Level Crossing, a dangerous and congested level crossing. The project delivered a six-lane road bridge; creating a safe and accessible route for cars, pedestrians and cyclists.

Snowy 2.0 – Alarm Rationalisation Program
SMEC completed the alarm rationalisation program for Snowy Hydro that required over 35,000 individual alarm points to be analysed. This resulted in a significant reduction to some 3,500 unique alarm response templates to enable the client to rapidly and accurately implement and update alarm points across its entire generation network.

Nenggiri
Nenggiri Hydropower Project
In 1986, a feasibility study was undertaken to investigate the possibility of the Nenggiri Hydroelectric project. In 2005, the project proponent, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) engaged SMEC to update the project’s viability. SMEC carried out several studies, which culminated in a decision by TNB in 2016 to commence design of the project.
