The majority of residents are farmers who rely on marble factories in the region for their livelihood.
The area has contaminated water leading to physical and intellectual disability, and other life-threatening diseases.
A water scheme project was funded to provide the community with consistent and safe drinking water. A water plant will be constructed, powered by environmentally friendly solar panels to decrease operating costs.
The newly built filtration plant will encourage the community to adopt healthy habits, provide safe drinking water, and protect the more vulnerable from the risks of water-related hazards.
There are over 4,000 households in this community, with an average family size of 8.5 members. Along with residents of adjoining communities, all will benefit from the vital project.
