Engineering Support continues at Edevu Hydropower Project
The Edevu Hydropower Project, located on the Brown River approximately 47 km Northeast of Port Moresby, will expand renewable energy generation and provide a reliable energy supply for the community. The project comprises a 55 m high geomembrane faced rockfill dam, overflow chute spillway, and a 51 MW surface power station at the toe of the dam.

SMEC to supervise the construction of road infrastructure improvements in Nepal
The ‘strategic road connectivity and trade improvement project’ will comprise widening of 95km of highway and bridges from Naubise (Kathmandu) to Nagdhunga via Mugling. The $450m project funded by world bank will significantly improve Nepal’s road connectivity with neighbouring nations, including India, enabling trade facilitation, and uplifting economic possibilities.
