The Pandoh bypass to Takoli will provide all-weather connectivity to one of India’s most-favoured tourist destinations, Manali. It will become the largest cross-sectional tunnels in the region and reduce travel time from Mandi to Manali by 90 minutes. The project includes the construction of 10 tunnels, 1 elevated viaduct, 3 major bridges and 10 minor bridges.

Construction activities are being carried out along the one of busiest roads in the state and must overcome challenging tunnelling conditions through the Himalayan geology. Due to the alignment of the proposed road, some portals have been planned and designed in soft rock conditions.

This strategically important road running along the river Beas will connect famous tourist places such as Kullu, Manali and Leh, improving trave comfort and safety for tourists year-round whilst improving critical supply routes.
