Engineers Without Borders (EWB) works with disadvantaged communities to improve quality of life through the implementation of sustainable engineering projects.

EWB has been working with Santulan (a not-for-profit organisation in Pune, India) to provide a community of 60,000 stone quarry workers and their families access to clean water supply. EWB is providing assistance to Santulan through a variety of activities including the spatial mapping of existing water supplies and water quality. The SMEC Foundation donated over $2,000 for the purchase of Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment to identify potential water sources.
